Self Humility.

Text: 1Peter5:6 (KJV)

Humble yourselves therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.

Friends, character can hinder a man’s growth and elevation if you are not careful. And humility is a garment to wear and not pride as pride goes before destruction, so be very careful. There is always an environment that is ideal or favorable for growth. Jesus, the only begotten son of God shows us a modest character as he came down to the earth and humbled himself in the form of a servant before he was exalted. Philippians 2:8-9- And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name. So, let’s cloth ourselves today with humility as it is a selfless lifestyle that looks out for the salvation and the benefits of others.

Amazingly, for us to enjoy a lasting and outstanding honour, it comes from humility and we can continue to learn it today for our glory experience tomorrow. Therefore, we need to be comfortable with the way God made us and in due time he will certainly elevate us and not by eye service as many do. Proverbs 15:33- The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. Remember, humility can take and sustain one on the throne. So, let us apply the imputed nature of Christ and live like him in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father, l pray that you cloth us with the garment of humility in all areas of my life, so that Christ will be visible and not self in Jesus name

ACTION  QUOTE: Remember, your due time of elevation is possible with the attitude of humility
