Elevate the humble

 

Text: Philippians 2:8-9 (KJV)      

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name

We must form the habit of cultivating the mind that was in Christ Jesus for our elevation. Humility is a sign of maturity and wisdom. So, Jesus not self - centered, Yes, being in the form of God humbled himself without making himself equal with God rather took up servanthood and obeyed all even the death on the cross.  Can we allow God to process us to the top today?  God still elevates and raises to a higher position. We should not put upon ourselves unnecessary reputation without Gods signature of approval. Let’s remember we came from a humble background, so do not over rack yourself because many people have belittled or demeaned themselves because of self- ego and place themselves where God did not position them. Proverbs 22:4- By humility and fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. Let’s learn to place ourselves in the hand of God. Allow the garment and the nature of Jesus to rub on us because when you exalts yourself God humbles you but when you humble yourself God will exalt you to a greater position

Friends, we must learn to grow in this kingdom with a humble lifestyle. Therefore, put off arrogant lifestyle  but live modest for a sustainable growth. You don’t class yourself up because a humble person always believe that he is better than every other person. 1Peter5:6 Humble yourselves therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Let’s allow God to exalt us at the right time and not self-motivated because it will not last.  Joseph is another character – given a special coat of many colours by his father but still lived as a servant. And his leadership over Egypt was a humbling experience. So, learn to recognize God's hand in everything, and He you will gradually elevate you by humility in Jesus name.

1.       Oh Lord heal our generation from this attitude of ego that has displaced many destines today in Jesus name
