The glorious News

 

Text: 2Corinthians.4:3-4(KJV)

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Friends, the world is filled with good and bad news but you can decide to cleave to the glorious news. And I know, how we react whenever we hear either of them; but the best news is the Gospel of Christ which is a GOODNEWS. We usually check the credibility of the source before we accept the news, but there is a source (the word of God), which is always true. The truth is, there is a lot of good news in the bible and we should hunger and taste for it as it has information of the past, present, and future. It delivers good news with real solution to any challenge. God is so merciful, and He has given us the Holy Spirit as our teacher. John 14:26- But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

Interestingly, the Holy Spirit is an excellent teacher, and He aims at revealing the light of the word of God to us. 2Corinthians4:6- For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. From our text of today, we are told that many people’s minds are blinded, and that is why they cannot see the light that shines through the good news. JESUS IS THAT GOOD NEWS THAT SHINES IN OUR LIVES.   Unfortunately, many rejected this light, and this has resulted in them being deprived of the glory within. But, God has shown us mercy; that is why He has taken away our stony hearts. Ezekiel 11:19b- And I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh.  There are lots of distractions in the world with several kind of news, but you can preserve this good news today and experience a new world with great turnaround. Remember, the Gospel itself is the good news in Jesus name

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, please may the younger generation long and thirst for the word daily again as you take away the stony heart in Jesus name.
