The Subtle Seed of Influence

 

Text: Genesis 3:15 (KJV)

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel.

Many of us have experienced what we are not meant to experience because we let the devil play with our minds. The truth is we as children of God will definitely be tempted, but it is the action that we take when tempted that makes us experience a lot. Even Jesus himself was tempted in Matthew 4:6b-“If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee.” But He decided to withstand and oppose that temptation that is what made Him overpower the devil. We know that the fall of man started when the woman, Eve, let the serpent’s suggestion ruin her relationship with God, and she ended up going against His will. The funny part is that he came with a suggestion, not a command.   We need to learn how to withstand and oppose His tricks with the word of God, as well as, we must also develop a defensive mechanism, so as to maneuver his tricks.

Surprisingly, many of us tend to forget that we have a seed to bruise the head of the serpent and that seed is JESUS CHRIST. This seed is so powerful. He can defeat any show of principalities and power, and can answer in heaven, on earth and beneath. It says in Colossians 2:15- And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. So do not be threatened by that temptation because it is just a suggestion rather activate the blessed seed. The amazing thing is, this seed is reliable and can handle any situation. So, just act according to James 4:7- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Just like Joseph’s temptation with Potiphar’s' wife. So, I urge you to stand strong and firm with your seed of defense, and you will achieve victory in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.Father, please help me to be ever ready with my activated seed so that I will not fall for the devil’s suggestion, in Jesus name.
