Text:Job5:17-18
(KJV)
Behold, happy is the man who God correcteth:
therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: for he maketh sore,
and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
Friends, what we have to learn is not
to despise God’s rod of discipline to correction; it might seem hard, but it
ends with a happy ending. Let’s rather delight in correction. We must remember
that the word of God is entirely for edifying, this is why our Father has subscribed us to a DAILY TABLET
which is the Bible. 2Timothy3:16- All scriptures
is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness.  So, be excited when God steps in to
correct you.
Although He can allow something to
hurt us with one hand, He can also heal and dress our wounds with the other
hand. He can scold us with one hand and correct us with another hand; this is
just because He loves us. So I urge us always to be happy when we receive those
tips He drops on our way because He is a good God. God suffered for us so that
we could repent and enjoy the blessings involved and rest in life. God does not
want anyone of us to be lost, but instead, He is giving us an opportunity to
change our ways despite our mistakes. Proverbs29:17-
Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto
thy soul. Do not faint or get depressed when you do not like the
corrections, because they are for our training and encouragement, so do not
underestimate them. Therefore, pay close attention to God's corrections because
he is extraordinarily patient.  We may all
make resolutions in our lives, but we should always observe if we are acting on
them.
PRAYER
POINT:
1. Father, help me to keep following your corrections no
matter how far I have gone on the wrong way, in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Ask yourself: Am I acting on my resolution by putting them into action
