Delight in God’s Word

 

Text: Psalm 1 :2(KJV)

But his delight is in the Law of the Lord: and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

You are welcome to this delightsome arena in the kingdom of our God and our saviour Jesus Christ. We must cultivate an attitude that will launch us into fruitful and flourishing lifestyle. We are expected to habitually meditate on God’s precepts and his teachings in season and out of season. We should form the habit of getting thrilled on God as we chew the verses of scriptures at all times.  We need to hang around with right minded people and not walk with the wicked as a proof of your delight in God.  As we get cleaved on the word of God, our spirit, soul and body are quickened out of the distraction and pressures of life and its surroundings.  Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have good success. It is in pondering on the word of God, that we begin to derive the benefits which is a good success

Interestingly, a blessed person tends to bend towards God and His instructions. Eventually, as human, we get our spiritual nutrition for nourishment by our connection to God. Remember, Jesus, is the vine and we are the branches, we can’t cut off from Him and still survive, just like the fish cannot survive without the water.  This shows that our delight brings our purpose to reality because he has planted us by the riverside and we shall continually bring forth fruits in season and out of season in Jesus name. God will launch our hunger and thirst for the word of God into new level in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, may we not be like the fig tree that could not bear fruits at the time of need that made Jesus to curse the tree in Jesus name.
