Text: Isaiah
40:3 (KJV)
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our
God.
When you heard today’s topic, who in the bible came to
your mind? If your response is John the Baptist then we are on the right chain
of thought. We are told in our bible school days that John the Baptist was a
voice in the wilderness and He always said this repeatedly “repent for the
kingdom of God is at hand”, but the truth is he is not the only voice in the
wilderness, you and I are also voices, and our wilderness is that place where
we are in. God has given us a bold voice and we are meant to use it to fulfil
our God-given assignment. 2
Timothy 1:7- For God hath not given us the
spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
We are reminded never to feel intimidated when our voice may
seem low or lone, because due to the fact that we are made in God’s image, we
have a voice that can move mountains. Mark 11:23- For verily I say unto
you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou
cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that
those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he
saith. Also there
is still a voice speaking, but because it is in a choked atmosphere that is why
it is not heard clearly. Always remember, you are made differently and you are
given an assignment to fulfill God’s agenda, so be confident in the voice given
to you by God.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.
Father,
please help me that my mouth shall not be shut in order to fulfill my purpose,
in Jesus name.
2.
Oh
Lord, please help me to deliver your assignment upon my destiny, in Jesus name.
