Change of Raiment by His Birth

 

Text: Zechariah 3:4 (KJV)     

And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

Certain times, we get ourselves entangled with the devil because of our filthy garment and due to this entanglement, He gains access or should I say legal right into our life, but the  good news is due to Jesus birth and His life for us, we have been given authority to discard those filthy garments. God is so merciful and that is why He sent His only begotten son to come in the flesh  and wash off those iniquity which God does not accept. The devil is the author of evil and that is why He is trying to use those filthy garments as a leverage to accuse us, but we need to resist all those tricks and remember to have a strong faith in birth this season. Luke 22:32- But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. 

One mistake we make is, we hold unto those filthy garments because of guilt, but we must remember Christ came so that those guilt and filthy garments will be cleansed from us. Brethren, all we need to do is to identify those filthy garments, rebuke the devil and learn to walk in obedience with God’s words. Never forget you are God’s own and you are called His chosen generation. 1 Peter 2:9- But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. So start today to rejoice for a child is born who is the Prince of Peace as he has come to tke away those ugly garments in our lives, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS: 

1. Oh Lord, please take away all the filthy garments of sin that have clothed my expression of God’s purpose to enjoy peace in Jesus name.

2. Oh Lord, please help me to examine myself, so as to showcase God’s glory bybthe gift of His dear son in Jesus name.
