Reverence to GOD.

 

Text: Revelation 4:11 (KJV)

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure, they are and were created.

The truth about life is that God created every one of us with a purpose, but many at times, we fail to understand that, and this leads us not knowing how to reverence God. We end up thinking it is difficult or hard, that God will not accept it, which is a lie from the devil. Certain times, we ask ourselves, how do we reverence God that we cannot see Him? It is not meant to be so. We are meant to reverence God with all that we have, from our bodies, to our dressing, our thoughts, our speeches, etc.; this is because He deserves it. The creator of heaven and earth deserves all of our worship. It says in Colossians1:16- For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. He truly deserves it, because He is so great and lives forever and ever; He also knows the beginning from the end and vice versa, because He is the beginning and the end, so give Him the reverence that He deserves.

Did you know that the bond between God and you, gets stronger as you worship Him with reverence? This level of reverence I am talking about is the one done publicly and secretly too. It is not the one done for eye-service, but the sincere one and this should be the one we give to Him. So, I urge you to stop your secret respect and reverence him publicly, because one day all people and situations will bow down to the LORDSHIP of our God. The truth is no matter how powerful someone might be (or they think they are), we will all lay our crowns at God’s feet-because there is only one king in heaven that lives and never dies. He alone is worthy of all glory, honour, and praise. Acts 17:24- God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands. I pray nothing should replace our reverence to God in our lives in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Oh Lord, help us to reverence and respect God with our all at all times, in Jesus name.

2. Father, please whatever has replaced my complete reverence to God, reverse it, in Jesus name.
