Faith-Fueled Hope

Text: Romans 5:5 (KJV)
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Friends, no matter the delayed expectations, it is important that we build up our hope before doubt crumbles our confidence because of uncertainty. Hence, we should embrace faith that is fueled by hope as hope is strengthened and sustained by our faith in God. This is a kind of hope which does not fade away because it is constantly renewed by what you believe about God and His promises. Faith-fueled hope allows your trust in God to energize your expectations daily. And this can be possible when we believe the promise even when circumstances remain unchanged. Yes, even when it seemed impossible, you are still hopeful. Romans 4:20–21 – He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith… being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Therefore, you must keep your hope alive, even in the face of impossibility that has no glimpse of light.

Interestingly, faith and hope work together as faith believes, and hope expects. The stronger your faith, the more unshakeable your hope becomes. However, situations may challenge your expectations but your patience will not allow your hope to run dry. Hebrews 10:23 – Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) So, your confidence is not in circumstances but in God’s faithfulness.  Therefore, learn to feed your faith through God’s Word, speak the promise as you keep believing. And I pray that your faith will fuel your hope daily, and you will see God’s promises come to pass in your life in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, strengthen our faith so that our hope will remain alive and unwavering in every situation in Jesus’ name.
  2. Heavenly Father, help us to trust Your Word continually and keep our expectations anchored in You in Jesus’ name.

Action Quote: Remember, when your faith is strong, your hope will never run dry.
