Ransomed by the SACRIFICE of Christ

 

Text: Revelation 12:11 (KJV)

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

This is the period to reaffirm our faith in Christ. There is a sinful nature in man and that is due to the fact that we were conceived in sin, but our scripture of today reminds us that the blood of Jesus is powerful and it can save, heal, and can also deliver us. This blood is so unique and I tell you, there is no power that can stand in contrast to it, but instead, they bow to this Blood. THE BLOOD IS OUR RANSOM. His death is our RANSOM. His sacrifice is our RANSOM. Romans 14:11b- Every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So this means sin also bows to this sacrifice. The power this blood has is so great and it purges us from all dead works. Hebrews 9:14- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? We need to learn to engage God’s last card and it is part of our inheritance. The blood of Jesus is our legal term and it can destroy the devil. It is spotless and its divine nature can cause every dead thing to come to life; so that means we have gained a lot of victory by His sacrifice. 1 Peter 1:19-But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Although, this blood is so powerful, having a fellowship with Him can make us get the full package of its benefits.

Therefore, we must have faith in His sacrifice because it renews and delivers us from the guilt of sin. We have been purified, which means we are no longer polluted with all those things we have entangled ourselves with, but instead, we are clean and it is through His grace we are made whole. 1Peter 1:2- Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Jesus has suffered on our behalf on the cross and in exchange, He has given us the power to put those sinful natures away. Rejoice because you have a great weapon over the devil.  I pray we will conquer the devil and his agents by the finished work of His sacrifice in Jesus name.

1. Thank you Lord, for offering and sacrificing yourself for us and for making us a vessel of honor in Jesus name.

2. Father, by faith, please purify us like gold, so that we can be bold to say:“my body is a sanctuary”, in Jesus name.
