Text: Joshua
1:6 (KJV)
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this
people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their
fathers to give them.
Life has taught us numerous times that courage is a very
important quality in a man’s life. Think about it for a second, when we want to
go or start something new, the most important thing needed minus the idea is
courage. It is like a secret ingredient in that particular meal (which is that
idea), and it is very important to have it. Courage is that one principle that
has the answer even in those difficult situations. It allows one to act despite
their fears. It is also the willingness to take the risk, and this is part of our
inheritance and benefits in Christ. Joshua 1:9- Have
not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither
be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou
goest. Although,
oppositions and difficulties come our way without any schedule, we still need
to believe and be courageous in the God that we serve.
The truth is, there is a God in us like literally, He lives
in us, and He never fails or forsakes His own. This is our assurance. We need
to be hopeful despite the situation because, at the end, victory will be ours
through Jesus. We should tell ourselves that those fears are not real, and for
us to do so, we need to be strong and have courage to face that fear. Remember,
no one was born with DNA of fear, so
do not allow it. Psalms
139:14- …. for I am fearfully and wonderfully
made: marvelous are thy works; and that my
soul knoweth right well. I tell you, the real courage is from the Lord, so ask Him for
help even as you face those storms. I pray God will help us, in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Oh Lord, please give me a new
heart of courage so as to face my challenges, and may I come out victorious in
Jesus name.
2.Father, please help us to be strong
and not to be intimidated by the empty frightening situation before us, in
Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Can you pick up that courage even as you go back to those threatening challenges in your field today?
