Discovering Another Opportunity

Text: Genesis 12:1-2 (KJV)

1Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of the country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee. 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.

We know that life is full of surprises, and we have the opportunity of seeing and encountering these surprises on a daily basis. Unfortunately, not all these surprises are good, some are bad, but they tend to come sweetly, so we need to be careful. The mistake people make most often is that they do not discover other opportunities. Many at times, we need to leave a particular level to attain the next one. We are being comfortable in one opportunity limits you from seeing the other ones available before you. In our scripture of today, we see that Abram had to decide whether to go with God or remain in the place that seemed comfortable to him. Genesis 15:7- And he said unto him, I am the Lord that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give thee this Land to inherit it. I tell you, we need to see with our inner eyes so as to see the real place God has allocated for us. We need to look inward to see those great opportunities set before us.

For us to see those opportunities, we need to walk with God, and when we walk with Him, He instructs us on what to do. Acts7:3- And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee. God told Abram to leave his country (that was literally everything he had) to go to the place that He will show and not the place He has shown him. That means Abram had no idea where he was going, but we see that he obeyed immediately. For us to also see those opportunities, we need to be obedient to His instructions. The truth is, when you get to the right place God has allocated for you, you end up becoming a blessing and a positive influence in that area.  So that means we should never imagine that the place we are now is the BEST POINT; there is a GREATER PLACE AHEAD. It is high time we leave our comfort zone. I urge you to look out for those opportunities because there are new testimonies, provisions, and protection coming your way, so search for them.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Lord, please take me to a level of discovery by your leading, in Jesus name.

2. Father, please help us to obey you as you direct us in life, in Jesus name

ACTION QUOTE: Ask yourself, is my location God-ordained or man approved?
