Text: Psalms 118:8
(KJV)
It is better to trust in the Lord than
to put confidence in man.
I believe every one of us would have had an experience of disappointment
on several occasions. This often happens due to the fact that we entrusted
God's capacity to man, which is definitely beyond man's ability, so what do we
expect? We often make this mistake, but
it is high time we change that attitude and mindset. Most of the time, we trust
man and not God but claim to trust God due to our mindset. We think we called
for His help, and He did not answer us, and due to our impatience, we lost the
great blessings ahead. The truth is, God is more than able to help, and we just
need to have confidence in Him. Micah 7:5-Trust ye not in a friend,
put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that
lieth in thy bosom. To be frank, putting your trust in a man who has a limit will result in
more disappointments. Let us not stagger at His promises rather be confident in
Him for He is ever reliable. Although a man
may help you at the start to some extent, there is a limit to the help they can
render though not intentional but due to man’s nature. Putting your confidence
in God should be your only option because He does not lie, and His promises are
yes and amen, but He can decide to choose a human figure to assist us, that
does not make you lose confidence in God. 2 Corinthians 1:20 (ERV)-The yes to
all of God’s promises is in Christ. And that is why we say “Amen” through
Christ to the glory of God.
Interestingly, God’s wonderful works are made visible around
us, so we should use that opportunity to put our confidence, absolute belief,
and faith in Him. I tell you all things are made in Him, and He is ready to
give it to us freely. Ephesians
3:12-In whom we have boldness and access with
confidence by the faith of him. The truth is, man is like a flower that withers away. You
respecting man's positions and views are not bad, but try not to waver by
building absolute confidence in a man who breathes through nose and instead put
your trust on the ever-reliable and sufficient Father. He is available right now
in those storms, and He has several options as a way out, so why don’t you
depend on Him?
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, please help us to lean on You and not on our
strength and understanding in Jesus name.
2. Oh Lord, please uphold us even when it seems God is absent,
in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Check that disappointment of yesterday. Who was your trust on?
