Text: Acts 10:3–8
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him... And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter.
Friends, we must understand that God often interrupts our normal routine to introduce us to His greater purpose. Cornelius was faithfully observing his usual time of prayer when God unexpectedly visited him with fresh instructions. His ordinary day became an extraordinary moment because he was spiritually available. God often speaks when we are faithfully carrying out our daily walk with Him. Isaiah 30:21 – "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it." Divine interruptions are not meant to confuse us but to reposition us for God's next assignment and greater blessings.
Unfortunately, what we often experience is people resisting God's interruptions because they are too comfortable with their schedules, plans, or expectations. They become so occupied with routine that they miss divine opportunities. Yet every instruction from God carries purpose beyond what we can immediately understand. Cornelius responded without delay and obeyed every instruction he received. Proverbs 3:5–6 – "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart... and he shall direct thy paths." Therefore, we should learn to develop a heart that remains sensitive to God's voice, even when He redirects your plans. Sometimes His interruption is the doorway to your promotion, breakthrough, or kingdom assignment. I pray that God will give us the wisdom to recognize His voice and the courage to obey His instructions without hesitation in Jesus' name.
Prayer Point:
Oh Lord, make my heart sensitive to Your voice as I welcome every divine interruption that aligns with Your purpose, and grant me grace to obey You immediately in Jesus' name.
Action Quote: Remember, God's interruption is often the beginning of His greater purpose for your life.
