GRACE FOR SKILLFUL HANDS

Text: Exodus 31:4–5
To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

Friends, God is not only interested in our prayers, worship, and spiritual growth, but He is also concerned about the works of our hands. The scripture above shows how God gave Bezaleel grace for skillful hands so that he could carry out the work of building the tabernacle with excellence, beauty, and precision. This shows us that skill, creativity, craftsmanship, and excellence are also gifts that can be empowered by God for divine purpose. The hands that build, create, organize, design, write, teach, and serve can all become instruments of God’s glory when surrendered to Him. Ecclesiastes 9:10 - Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.

Amazingly, Bezaleel was not only called, he was also equipped to work skillfully with gold, silver, brass, stones, and wood. God placed wisdom and craftsmanship upon his life so that the assignment given to him could be done well. This reminds us that divine calling must be accompanied by divine ability. It is possible to have a burden in your heart, but you also need God’s grace upon your hands to carry it out effectively. So, whether in ministry, business, career, service, or daily responsibilities, God can anoint your hands with skill, excellence, and productivity. Proverbs 22:29 - Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Hence, the Lord who gives skill for service and grace for workmanship will establish the labour of your hands and cause your efforts to reflect His glory in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point:
Lord, release upon my life the grace for skillful hands. Fill me with wisdom, excellence, creativity, and diligence, and establish the work of my hands for Your glory in Jesus’ name.

Action Quote:  Remember, when God places grace upon your hands, your work begins to carry excellence, beauty, value, and divine impact.

CALLED BY NAME, FILLED FOR PURPOSE

Text: Exodus 31:2–3
See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.

Friends, it is important to know as believers that God does not deal with us as strangers or accidents. He is a God who calls people by name and fills them for divine purpose. We can see how God specifically called Bezaleel by name and equipped him with the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill for the work of building His sanctuary. So, what has God called you to do? This reveal that whenever God gives an assignment, He also provides the grace, wisdom, and ability needed to fulfill it. God does not call people into purpose empty but He fills them with what is required for the journey. Isaiah 45:3 - And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. For instance, Bezaleel was already marked out for a divine assignment. The same God still calls His children personally today. He knows your name, your potential, your weaknesses, and the purpose He has prepared for your life. Hence, your life has meaning, and your gifts are not without direction. Therefore, you carry a divine reason inside you. Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Unfortunately, people struggle with feelings of insignificance, confusion, or inadequacy because they do not yet understand that God has called them with intention. But when God calls a man, He also fills him with grace for the assignment, supplies the wisdom, strength for weakness, and understanding for the work ahead. So, you do not need to rely only on natural ability when divine purpose is involved because the Spirit of God can empower you to do what seems beyond your human capacity. 2 Timothy 1:9 - Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. So, if you have been questioning your relevance, doubting your ability, or wondering whether God can use you, remember Bezaleel. God is still in the business of calling ordinary people by name and filling them for extraordinary assignments. Hence, the God who called Bezaleel by name and filled him with purpose is able to call you out today as a vessel of divine usefulness in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point:
Lord, as You called Bezaleel by name and filled him with wisdom for Your work, call me into my divine purpose and fill me with the grace and wisdom, understanding for my assignment in Jesus’ name.

Action Quote: Remember, when God calls you by name, He also fills your life with the grace and wisdom needed to fulfill His purpose.

THE COAT OF FLAVOUR

Text: Genesis 37:3
Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

Friends, the coat of flavour is a reminder that God can place His hand upon a person in a way that distinguishes them for His divine purpose. In Joseph’s life, the coat of many colours was more than a garment; it became a symbol of love, distinction, and a unique calling upon his life. It represented the favour that set him apart in his father’s house. Yet, this favour also attracted jealousy, hatred, and misunderstanding from those around him. This shows us that favour is not always convenient, because what God places upon your life can stir opposition from people who do not understand His plan for you. However, the coat of flavour was not the end of Joseph’s story; it was only the beginning of God’s process in his life. Though his brothers stripped him of that coat, they could not strip him of the favour, purpose, and destiny God had ordained for him. The coat was taken, but the calling remained. Psalm 5:12 - For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Remember, there are seasons when people may try to fight what God is doing in your life, but no one can cancel the purpose of God over you. Romans 11:29 says, “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. What God has spoken concerning you still stands, even when circumstances seem to say otherwise.  So, the coat of flavour teaches us that divine favour can make you stand out, but it also requires humility, wisdom, and trust in God. Favour is not just for appearance; it is for assignment. God places His favour on you so that His purpose can be fulfilled through your life. Therefore, do not despise the process that comes with this coat of flavour, and do not allow opposition to make you doubt what God has placed upon you. The same God who gave Joseph the coat of favour preserved him through rejection, lifted him through hardship, and brought him into fulfillment. May God clothe you with His favour and keep you standing in His purpose in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point:
Lord, clothe me with Your favour and help me to walk in humility, wisdom, and boldness as I fulfill the purpose You have ordained for my life in Jesus’ name.

Action Quote: Remember, when God places His coat of favour upon your life, opposition may arise, but no one can take away the destiny attached to His hand upon you.

LORD, TAKE ME TO ELIM

Text: Exodus 15:27

Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; and they camped there by the waters.

Friends, life is not always a journey of ease. Sometimes we pass through seasons like Marah which is places of bitterness, disappointment, delay, exhaustion, and pain. So, Elim represents a place of refreshment, rest, provision, and restoration after a season of bitterness, struggle, and dryness. For instance, before Israel arrived at Elim, they passed through Marah which was a place of bitter water and disappointment. But Marah was not the end of their journey. God led them forward into a place where their needs were met and their strength was renewed to overflow. Psalm 23:2–3 - He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

In the same way, life can bring seasons of pain and confusion. Yet God does not leave His people in those dry places forever. He is able to lead you into your own Elim which is a season of peace, healing, renewed hope, and divine supply.  Isaiah 41:17–18 - When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.” So, when your heart is weary, let your prayer be: “Lord, take me to Elim.” Let’s trust that God who knows how to move one from bitterness into abundance and from dryness into renewal, will move you today. Hence, the God who led Israel through the wilderness also knows where your wells of refreshment are, where your rest is waiting, and where your strength will be renewed in Jesus name.

Prayer Point:

Lord, take me to Elim as you lead me out of every dry and bitter season into my renewed season of strength and refreshment in Jesus’ name

Action Quote: Remember, God is taking you through the season of Marah into your journey of rest and multiple wells of refreshment.

Trust His direction for your victory

Text: Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Friends, many are struggling today with regrets in life because of lack guidance. Hence, the result of decisions made without seeking God's direction always leads to painful experiences.  Yes, human wisdom is limited, but God's wisdom is perfect and complete. Throughout Scripture, those who sought God's guidance found success, protection, and victory. Remember, divine direction helps us avoid unnecessary detours and positions us to walk in God's perfect will. So, when we acknowledge God in every area of our lives, He promises to direct our paths and lead us into His purpose. In a world filled with distractions and conflicting voices, it is easy to rely on personal opinions, emotions, or the advice of others. However, God's children are called to seek His counsel first. He is ready to guide us with His eyes. Isaiah 30:21 - And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Interestingly, whoever followGod's direction always experiencesextraordinary outcomes. We can see, Abraham followed God's leading into an unknown land and became the father of many nations. Philip obeyed the Spirit's direction and was used to bring the Ethiopian eunuch to salvation. This should remind us that God's guidance always leads to His purpose and blessing. Psalm 37:23 - The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.Today, commit your plans, and future into God's hands and refuse to depend solely on your understanding. I pray we shall seek His direction daily, and He will guide us into the victory and fulfilment of our destiny as the Lord grants us discernment, wisdom, and clear direction this season in Jesus' name.

Prayer Point:
Oh Lord, help us to trust Godand He will guide our steps according to His Your will in every area of our lives in Jesus' name.

Action Quote: Friends, when God directs your path, you can walk confidently knowing that every step is leading you closer to His purpose and victory.

Enquire to Overtake

Text: 1 Samuel 30:8 (KJV)

And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

Friends, we need to learn how to seek God's direction before taking action for our victory. Many people pursue goals, and solutions based solely on human wisdom, only to encounter frustration and disappointment on the way. But, David's experience at Ziklag teaches us a powerful lesson: before he pursued the Amalekites, he first enquired of the Lord. Though he was distressed and faced a painful situation, he did not allow his emotions to control his decisions. Instead, he sought God's counsel and received divine assurance: "Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all." And it preceded divine victory. God knows the path to success, and desires His children to seek Him for direction. We struggle today because we go ahead without consulting God. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Therefore, before making any important decisions, we must first enquire of the Lord through prayer, His Word, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. God's guidance helps us avoid unnecessary battles and positions us for victory as provides all we need to overtake obstacle standing in our way.

Interestingly, many sought God's direction and experienced remarkable success. For instance, Abraham obeyed God's instruction and became the father of many nations. Joshua sought the Lord's guidance and led Israel into victory over their enemies. Jehoshaphat enquired of God during a national crisis and witnessed a miraculous deliverance. These examples remind us that divine direction always produces divine results. Psalm 32:8  says, "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." Today, do not rely solely on yourself because He will show you the right path, empower you to overtake every challenge and lead you to victory. I pray that the Lord will grant us wisdom to enquire of the Lord before taking action in Jesus' name.

Prayer Point:
Heavenly father, teach us to seek Your direction and grant us wisdom to make the right decisions, and empower us to overtake all as to fulfil purpose in life, in Jesus' name.

Action Quote: Friends, when you enquire of God before you pursue, you position yourself to overtake every obstacle and walk confidently into His promised victory.

Complete Restoration Packag

Text: 1 Samuel 30:18–19 (KJV)

And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all.

Friends, we have an encouraging truth this morning that our God is a God of total restoration. He is not limited by the extent of our losses, disappointments, or setbacks. Yes, when God steps into a situation, He has the power to restore what was lost, rebuild what was broken, and renew what seemed beyond recovery. So, cheer up. David experienced this reality after the Amalekites attacked Ziklag and carried away their families and possessions. What appeared to be a devastating loss became a testimony of God's restoring power as David recovered all. So, no matter what we may have lost through trials, delays, mistakes, or difficult circumstances, God is able to bring restoration. His restoration is not partial but complete. The Scripture declares that nothing was lacking when David recovered all. Hence, don’t give up in seasons of loss or delay but continue to trust God as we stand on His promises. The God who restored David is still at work today. Joel 2:25 - And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

Amazingly, we must learn to place our confidence in God's ability to restore every area of our lives. For instance, God restored the life of Job. Job lost his possessions, health, and family comforts, yet God restored him and blessed his latter end more than his beginning. Jeremiah 30:17 - For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD. Joseph lost his freedom and reputation, yet God restored him and elevated him to a place of honour. Also, Naomi experienced deep loss, but God turned her sorrow into joy and gave her a new testimony. Therefore, whether the loss is spiritual, emotional, financial, or relational notwithstanding, God is able to make you whole again. Let’s remain faithful, and expect His intervention. I pray that God will bring complete restoration and cause us to experience His goodness, in Jesus' name.

Prayer Point:
Oh Lord, let Your power of complete restoration work in us as you restore every good thing that we have lost and make us whole again, in Jesus' name.

Action Quote: Friends, when God restores, He does not merely replace what was lost; He turns your loss into a greater testimony of His grace.
