God Raises Deliverers in Difficult Times

Text: Judges 4:4–7 (KJV)
"And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. And she sent and called Barak... and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor... And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera... and I will deliver him into thine hand."

Friends, Israel had once again turned away from God and came under the oppression of Jabin, king of Canaan, for twenty years. The nation seemed helpless until they cried unto the Lord. In His mercy, God raised Deborah to lead His people and called Barak to confront the enemy. Through their obedience, God delivered Israel from bondage. This reminds us that God never leaves His people without hope. Whenever His children sincerely call upon Him, He raises the right people to bring encouragement, and deliverance according to His perfect plan. So, no matter difficulty today, remember that God is already working behind the scenes. He knows your struggles and has not forgotten you. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee... I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee." Therefore, do not lose hope or give in to fear, He is able to send the help you need at the right time.

Above all, God demonstrated His greatest act of deliverance by sending Jesus Christ to save us from sin and eternal destruction. Psalm 34:17 - The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Just as He delivered Israel, He is still able to rescue those who put their trust in Him. Whatever challenge you are facing, believe that God can turn your situation around and use your testimony to encourage others.

Oh Lord, thank You for being my Deliverer. Raise the right help for me in every difficult season, and make me available to be a blessing to others, in Jesus' name. Amen.
