: Faith Into the Unknown

 

Text: Ruth 1:18 (KJV)
When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

Friends, faith often requires stepping into places where we cannot see the outcome. So, Ruth left her homeland, family, and familiar surroundings without knowing what the future held. Her confidence rested not in circumstances but in her God, she had chosen to follow. Many of God's greatest blessings begin with one courageous step of faith.  Also, Abraham obeyed God without knowing where he was going Hebrews 11:8 - By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.  Likewise, God sometimes asks us to trust Him before revealing the entire journey. So, when we walk by faith instead of fear, He directs our paths and opens doors we never imagined possible. 2 Corinthians 5:7 – (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

However, faith does not demand that we understand every detail before we obey. Instead, it calls us to trust the character of God even when His plans remain hidden. Ruth's decision was not based on guarantees of comfort or success; it was rooted in unwavering commitment to God and His purpose. Proverbs 3:5–6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Because she chose obedience over uncertainty, God transformed her ordinary step of faith into an extraordinary testimony of redemption and blessing. Remember, your step of faith today may become the testimony that inspires others tomorrow.  Relax, the same God who guided Ruth is still leading His children today and will lead you too in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, give us the courage to trust You even when we cannot see the way ahead, in Jesus' name.
