The Reward of Faithfulness

Text: Ruth 2:11–12 (KJV)
11. "And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore. 12. "The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust."

Friends, God never overlooks genuine faithfulness. We can see that in the life of Ruth who faithfully cared for Naomi without expecting recognition, praise, or personal gain. Yet God saw every sacrifice she made and, in His perfect timing, rewarded her through Boaz. Often, our acts of obedience may seem unnoticed or unappreciated by people, but they are always seen by God. He rewards those who faithfully serve Him with sincere, humble, and devoted hearts. Matthew 25:21 - His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

 

Amazingly, the scripture in Hebrews 6:10 - For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. He assures us that God is not unrighteous to forget our work and labour of love. Therefore, every prayer offered, every sacrifice made, every act of kindness, and every step of obedience is recorded before Him. Let’s continue to honour God whether people applaud you or not. Your reward may not come immediately, but God's timing is always perfect and never late. So, remain steadfast because every act of faithfulness has eternal value, and in due season, God will bring forth a harvest that reflects His goodness and faithfulness in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, help us remain faithful in every assignment You have given us, knowing that You are my Rewarder, in Jesus' name.
