Text: Matthew 14:14 (KJV)
And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion
toward them, and he healed their sick.
Friends, Jesus is deeply moved by our pain and
needs. His compassion is not distant or passive but it is active and
life-changing. So, when He sees your struggles, He responds with love, care,
and healing. We can see He is always moved as He saw a great multitude. Hence,
like as a father he shows pity to us his children because of His compassion. Therefore,
no matter what you are going through, know that Jesus is touched by your
situation and is ready to intervene. His compassion reaches into every area of our
lives, physical, emotional, financial, career and spiritual. Just as He healed
the sick and comforted the broken hearted, He is still working in our lives
today. Lamentations 3:22–23 - It is of the Lord’s
mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are
new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Interestingly, His compassion does not depend on
our perfection, but on His love for us. This means we can come to Him just as
we are and receive His help. However, it is our fear of God that qualities us
at all times. Therefore, let us trust in His compassionate heart and rely on
Him daily. When you feel overwhelmed, remember that Jesus cares deeply for you
and is always ready to respond. Psalm 86:15 - But
thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and
plenteous in mercy and truth. Yes, he loaded us with compassion and
mercy which he shall express towards us even in that uncertain situation today
in Jesus name.
Prayer Points:
- Lord Jesus, thank You for Your compassion as you touch every area
of our lives in Jesus name.
- Heavenly Father, help us to trust in Your love and care at all
times in Jesus’ name.
Action Quote: Remember, Jesus is moved by your situation. So, bring it
to Him and He will respond with compassion, again.
