A Friend Who Understands

Text: John 15:15 (KJV)
“…I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

Friends, Jesus is not only our Lord but also our friend who understands us deeply. Yes, genuine friends have become scarce in our world today because so many relationships are toxic. But, even though true understanding can be rare, Jesus offers a relationship filled with love, trust, and closeness. He is indeed there and fully available at all times for you. He knows your thoughts, your fears, and your desires, and He cares about every detail of your life. As a friend, Jesus listens when we pray and walk with us daily. He does not judge us harshly but guides us gently. Just as Proverbs 18:24 says, “there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother,” Jesus remains closer than anyone else we could ever have. It is important we hold him tightly because He can never fail you.

Interestingly, His friendship is constant and unchanging, regardless of our circumstances. Therefore, build a daily relationship with Him. Remember to talk to Him, trust Him, and lean on Him in every moment. With Jesus as your friend, you will never lack understanding or support. So, open up to Him both on physical or spiritual concerns and He will stick to you as a dear friend in Jesus name.

1. Lord Jesus, thank You for being my friend, do not leave me but help me to grow closer to You daily in Jesus’ name.
2. Heavenly Father, teach me to trust You and rely on You in all things in Jesus’ name.
