The Gain of His Resurrection

 

Text: Philippians 3:10 (KJV)
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Friends, when Christ rose from the dead, He secured priceless benefits for everyone who believes in Him. Hence, the resurrection is not only a victory to celebrate but a gain to experience. His resurrection brought us access to new life, righteousness, and a living relationship with God. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. It is through His rising that we gain power over sin, strength in weakness, and hope in the midst of uncertainty. We should not just admire the story of the resurrection but have to step into the reality of what He has been made available to us. For instance, the power to live above sin and limitations is one of the greatest gain. The same power is now at work in believers as we are not helpless or powerless in our daily life. You now have divine enablement to overcome challenges, break free from old patterns, and walk in victory, daily.  The resurrection also gives us a new identity. We are no longer defined by our past but by who we are in Christ, redeemed, justified, and empowered. 1 Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Interestingly, the gain of His resurrection also includes hope and assurance. So, He lives, our faith is not in vain, and our future is secure. Hence, you can now stand firm knowing that Christ life has conquered death. Therefore, in difficult seasons, the resurrection reminds us that there is always a greater outcome with God.  Acts 2:24 - Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. Therefore, seek to know Him more, walk in the power He has given you, and live daily in the reality of what His resurrection has gained for you as to enjoy access to power, purpose, and everlasting life in Jesus name.

1. Oh Lord, help us to know You more as to experience the gain of the season in our daily lives in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, let every benefit of the resurrection be evident in our lives by bringing victory, strength, and hope in Jesus’ name.
