The Price Was Paid, The Grave Was Conquered

Text: John 19:30 (KJV)
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Friends, this season reveals the greatest victory ever won. Yes, on the cross, Jesus declared, “It is finished,” signifying that the full price for sin had been completely paid. Hence, this was not a cry of defeat but a proclamation of completion. Therefore, every debt, every curse, and every separation between man and God was settled in that moment. He paid all but many still live as though the price has not been paid by carrying guilt, fear, and condemnation but Jesus has already done the work. His sacrifice brought us forgiveness, peace, and restoration and no addition to what Christ has already accomplished. After the price was paid, the grave was conquered, so it did not end at the cross as death and the stone could not stop Him. His resurrection is the proof that the sacrifice was accepted and the victory is complete. Galatians 3:13 - Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. We have hope beyond every situation because He lives. The same power that raised Him from the dead is at work in us, giving us the strength to rise above sin, fear, and every limitation of life.

Remember, the resurrection is your assurance that no situation is beyond God’s power. What looks finished in your life is not final when God is involved. When Jesus rose, He gave us a new identity, no longer slaves to sin, but victors in Him. Therefore, live with confidence, walk in freedom, and embrace the new life He has given you. In Christ, your past is forgiven, your present is secured, and your future is guaranteed in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord Jesus, thank You for declaring “It is finished”; help us to live in the reality of Your completed work in Jesus’ name.
  2. Father, by the power of the resurrection, let every dead situation in my life come alive again in Jesus’ name.

Action Quote: Remember, when Jesus said “It is finished,” your victory was settled, so live like it is already done.
