Lifted Above by His Protection

Text: Psalm 27:6 (KJV)
And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

Friends, we can see a powerful picture of victory through divine protection. It shows that God’s protection does not only keep us safe but it lifts us above every opposition. Hence, we should speak with this confidence that despite enemies surrounding us, God’s covering brings elevation, not defeat. Psalm 91:14 - Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. So, when God protects you, you are not merely surviving rather you are rising above challenges. Therefore, we have an assurance of honor, victory, and confidence by His protective lifting. However, there is a change in position from fear to boldness, from oppression to triumph. Even when situations seem overwhelming, His presence ensures that you are not brought low but lifted high. Psalm 27:5 - For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Interestingly, we respond to this protection with sacrifices of joy and praise as we respond with gratitude to God. Yes, praise becomes a declaration of faith, acknowledging God in control and that victory is already secured. Furthermore, singing praises in the midst of surrounding enemies shows unwavering trust with focus without threat for God is in all. Just as 2 Chronicles 20:22 says - And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.  It means that praise is a weapon through which God defeats battles on our behalf. Therefore, no matter what surrounds you, learn to lift your eyes to God. Let’s trust in His protection, stand firm in His promises, and respond with praise. His covering will lift you above every challenge, and your testimony will be one of victory and joy in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:

  1. Oh Lord, lift our heads above every challenge and surround us with Your divine protection in Jesus’ name.
  2. Dear father, fill our hearts with joy and praise as we walk in the victory You have given us in Jesus’ name.

Action Quote: Remember, God’s protection doesn’t just shield you but it lifts you above every opposition.
