Text: Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help
thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Psalm 91:5-6 (KJV) - Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor
for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in
darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.”
Friends, we have an assurance that God’s
unfailing protection in every season of life is certain. Yes, God begins with a
command “fear thou not” because fear often comes when we feel exposed,
uncertain, or vulnerable. Yet, the foundation of our protection is not the
absence of danger, but the presence of God. When God says, “I am with thee,” it
means we are never alone in battles. 2 Timothy 1:7 “For
God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a
sound mind. Hence, God has given
us multiple layers of assurance. He promises strength when we feel weak, help
when we are overwhelmed, and support when we feel like giving up. This reveals
that divine protection is not passive rather it is active, sustaining and
ever-present. God does not just watch over us; He intervenes, upholds, and
carries us through difficult moments. Psalm 27:1 - The
Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength
of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Interestingly, God addresses both fear and
discouragement by the phrase “be not dismayed.” This shows that protection is
not only physical but also emotional and spiritual. Many times, the real battle
is within, but God’s presence brings stability and confidence. Just as it is
written in Psalm 46:1 -“God is our refuge and
strength, a very present help in trouble,” we are reminded that His help
is always timely and sufficient. Therefore, whatever situation you are facing,
refuse to give in to fear. Hold on to God’s promises, rely on His strength, and
trust in His covering. His righteous right hand is strong enough to uphold you,
and His presence guarantees your safety. In Him, you are secure, preserved, and
sustained through every storm in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Points:
- Lord, help us to overcome every fear as we
rest in His divine protection in Jesus’ name.
- Gracious Father, strengthen and uphold us
with Your righteous right hand in every situation in Jesus’ name.
Action Quote: Remember, when God is with you, fear has no power and
your safety is guaranteed.
