Divinely Preserved and Protected

Text: Psalm 121:7–8 (KJV)
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 (KJV) - But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

Friends, we enjoy God’s continuous and all-encompassing protection as believers. Hence, His package includes to keep, guard, and watch over us carefully. This tells us that God’s protection is not occasional rather it is constant, intentional, and personal. He is committed to keeping us not just from visible harm, but also from unseen evil attacks. Jude 1:24 - Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. The scripture goes deeper to preserve our soul. This means that God’s protection is not limited to the physical realm; it extends to our minds, hearts, and spiritual lives. So, God shields our inner being, giving us peace and stability. Therefore, our daily activities of going out and coming is part of His protective covering that is covers our movements, decisions, and journeys. Whether we are stepping out to face the day or returning home, God’s covering goes with us. His protection is not restricted by location or time; it follows us everywhere and remains with us always. Psalm 41:2 - The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

Interestingly, the promise of His preservation is from this time forth, and even for evermore, showing that God’s protection is both present and eternal. It is not temporary or seasonal but it is a lifelong and unending covenant of safety over His children. Psalm 32:7 - Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Therefore, no matter where life takes you, be confident that God is watching over you. Let us trust in His preserving power, rest in His covering, and walk boldly knowing that you are secured on every side in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:

  1. Almighty God, preserve us from all evil and keep our soul safe under Your protection in Jesus’ name.
  2. Oh Lord, watch over our going out and coming in, now and forevermore in Jesus’ name.

Action Quote: Remember, God’s protection is constant and inclusive as He watches over you in every step, at all times.
