Text: Psalm 27:9 (KJV)
Hide not thy face far from me; put
not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither
forsake me, O God of my salvation.
Friends, the scripture above reveals a heartfelt
cry for God’s continued presence, which is the foundation of our protection. We
can see and understand that true safety is not found in circumstances, but in
the nearness of God. When he says, “Hide not thy face far from me,” it reflects
a deep awareness that without God’s presence, we are exposed and vulnerable. Hence, we plead that God will not leave me
not, neither forsake me, as we totally depend on God as our ever-present help.
Protection is not just about being kept from danger, but about God staying with
us through every situation. His presence shields us, guides us, and sustains us
even in uncertain times. Just as Deuteronomy 31:6
He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. That means even in silent
seasons, God is still with you. So, let us rest confidently in His
unfailing commitment. Let’s always
acknowledge, that He will help us, reminding us that God’s past faithfulness is
a guarantee of His present and future protection. When we remember how God has
helped us before, our faith is strengthened to trust Him again. Exodus 33:14 And he said, My presence shall go with
thee, and I will give thee rest.
Interestingly, this teaches us that seeking God’s
presence is a continuous journey. It is not a one-time experience but a daily
dependence. As we remain close to Him, we stay under His covering, where fear
loses its grip and peace takes over. Psalm 91:4 -
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Therefore, no matter what you are going
through, hold on to God and seek His presence continually. Trust in His help,
rely on His faithfulness, and be assured that He will never abandon you as we
are covered, preserved, and protected in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Points:
- Lord, do not hide Your presence from me; remain my help and my
covering in Jesus’ name.
- My father, Father, never leave nor forsake me; surround me with
Your protection at all times in Jesus’ name.
Action Quote:
Remember, when God’s presence is with you, you are never exposed rather you are
fully covered and protected.
