Text: 2 Chronicles 20:15(KJV)
And he said, ‘Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem,
and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: Do not be afraid nor
dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but
God’s.
Friends, there are moments in
life when the weight of opposition feels overwhelming in our minds, covering
families, health, finances, or calling. The scripture today reminds us that
victory does not come from human strength neither is it from our several
strategies but it comes from God’s outstretch hand that brings about our
safety. Psalm 55:22 - Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you. He
is always there to fight our battles despite the overwhelming fears attached in
any case as He brings about the amazing peace at the final point. Therefore, we
must learn to surrender all our battles to the almighty God. According to the
scripture, we can see that Jehoshaphat praises went ahead of the army and God
caused the enemy to defeat themselves. Exodus
14:13 -14 - Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall
hold your peace.
Interestingly, when God
says the battle is His, He takes responsibility for the outcome. So, relax. Then,
we should not even struggle with the ownership of the fight. As we submit our
all, he will assure of undeniable triumph in every area of our lives. Psalm
46:10
- Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will
be exalted in the earth. Hence, we must develop a
posture of trust, obedience, prayer and praise to Him. It is not time to panic,
so let’s rely on God. He often wins battles in ways that silence human boasting
and magnify His glory which is called divine strategy. Then, let’s allow
God to take charge because he is ready to make away where there seems to be no
way even in this season in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, I acknowledge that this battle is never beyond
you, so teach me to trust your supremacy over present and future battles in
Jesus name.
