Sustained by Grace

Text: 1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV)

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Friends, grace can cease all the labour. It is a doorway into salvation as well as the power that keeps us walking after we enter. Yes, when we are sustained by grace that means we are preserved, strengthened, and carried through life challenges not by our own effort, but by God’s grace as the energy and the power that is moving us. Grace does not only save but it keeps us standing in the midst of the storm. So, we wear grace like a shield that makes the wicked not to gain access to the secret place where the treasures are hidden. John 1:16 - And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. Therefore, being sustained by grace means you wake up each day depending on God, not yourself. It means that your confidence is not in your ability, but in His mercy. So, be careful never to take grace for granted. 2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Remember, apostle Paul faced hardship, weakness, and pressure but he enjoyed greater grace in his time. And grace is stepping into that uncertainty, now.

Interestingly, it is good to know that grace is the fuel that supplies what human strength cannot, as we need it to pull through life. Psalm 37:23–24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.  Grace powers our obedience. So, grace is not just for our redemption rather we need grace for our survival and sustainability.  God continues to uphold us by His grace. Titus 3:5 – Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. Hence, grace does not always remove the burden, it gives us the strength to bear it. I pray when your energy fails, God’s unending grace will keep and sustain you this season in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, help me to rely on Your grace daily and not on my own strength as Your grace sustains my heart, my faith, and my walk with You in Jesus name.
