Living by GRACE

 

Text: 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Friends, it is important we don’t abuse grace as many do because of lack of discipline. Unfortunate, many people live their lives trying to earn God’s approval, carrying heavy burdens to live a perfect life.  But, grace is God’s unearned, undeserved, and unlimited favor toward humanity. Living by grace means depending daily on what Christ has done instead of what we can do. It means waking up knowing you are already accepted, forgiven, and loved. Grace does not excuse sin, but it empowers us into obedience. However, let’s start obeying God out of love and not fear. Grace is our teacher so we can live right and not just at the point of forgiveness. 2 Peter 3:18 - But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  And this strength comes from God, too. Therefore, grace reminds us that your past is forgiven, so you live without shame and guilt. Hence, we should stop struggling to be accepted and start resting in God’s love. Remember, grace is not permission to sin but power to overcome sin.

Amazingly, whenever you feel weak, remember grace is there to strengthen you. Also, when you feel unworthy, grace reminds you that Christ is worthy for you. Today, let’s release the pressure to perform and receive the power to live by grace. Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Hence, grace is not just the way you begin your walk with God but it is the way you continue to live daily to eternity. Therefore, grace does not remove responsibility and so, grace is not weakness rather a divine strength that works in you as believers. I pray His grace will continue to give us the boldness to access God’s presence and the benefits in this kingdom in Jesus name.

Father, thank You for Your amazing grace and teach me to live daily by the available grace and not by my performance in Jesus name
