Text: Titus 3:5 (KJV)
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his
mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration, and renewing
of the Holy Ghost.
Friends, it is important we recognize that we are
not saved by our works, our background, or our good deeds towards righteousness.
Rather, we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ and by the grace of God alone.
Hence, we should receive the gift and live in the joy of His salvation. Romans 5:1- Therefore
being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. So, we do not
strive in salvation because he has removed fear, guilt, and pride knowing that our
future is secured in Him. Yes, the father is ready to restore us like He did to
the prodigal son before he could prove himself.
Therefore, salvation
without striving is resting in Christ’s finished work while allowing His grace
to transform our life daily. Ephesians 2:9 -
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Amazingly, God saves people before they are perfect but He
transforms them after they believe. So, when man stop trying to earn salvation,
they experience total freedom from fear and pressure. However, when He said, it
is finished, striving ended and believing began. Romans 3:24 - Being
justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. But, the gospel
reveals something far more freeing which is the salvation that we received, not achieved.
We can see that striving produces tension and exhaustion, but
salvation produces rest and confidence. We cannot forget that salvation is without stress,
no self-effort because grace rested us on the finished work of Christ in Jesus
name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, teach us to trust what
Christ has done, not what we can do as faith becomes the foundation, not
performance in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, we are saved
by grace. So, never brag about being better than others.
