Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:17(KJV)
Pray without
ceasing.
Luke
18:1 - Men ought always to pray,
and not to faint.
Friends, we need to incorporate discipline for
effective prayer lifestyle as we learn to pray without ceasing. Discipline in prayer is the ability to stay
consistent, focused, and obedient in prayer regardless of mood, pressure, or
circumstances. Mark 1:35 - And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he
went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. It means choosing prayer even when you feel tired,
busy, distracted, or discouraged. It is more than a spiritual activity, hence we
should develop discipline which many people find it difficult to maintain.
Unfortunately, many people pray when they have problem but discipline in prayer
as lifestyle, makes it possible for you to constantly fellowship with God even
when it is not convenient. Daniel 6:10 - He kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and
gave thanks before his God.
Amazingly, just as athletes train their bodies,
we must train our hearts through consistency in prayer. Do not wait when life
is hard before you pray but learn to keep your connection to God active on
daily bases. Let’s develop deep conversation with our father, today. Matthew 14:23 - And
when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray.
The discipline in prayer keeps us aligned with God’s will, strengthens our
faith, and prepares us for life’s battles which has no schedule. Therefore, we
need to remain committed to this singular act of communication with God. I pray
we shall not create occasional moment with God rather a daily engagement with
our father for a closer walk, in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, help me to build discipline in prayer by creating set time with
consistency as I focus on the help of God in Jesus name.
