Text: Romans 8:26(KJV)
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our
infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered.
Friends, it is important we
recognize that prayer is more than talking but it is connecting your heart,
mind, and spirit to God in ways words cannot capture at all. We need a heart of
connection that brings us to an unending intimacy with God. Therefore, we must
learn to communicate with God from our hearts and not just from our mouths.
This involves letting your spirit speak with words that your mouth cannot
express. 1 Corinthians 14:15 - What is it then? I
will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will
sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. This
takes one into deep intimacy that silence the distractions around us, today. So,
we need to focus on the presence of God that helps us to acknowledge His voice
of instruction. Yes, God hears the cries of our hearts even when our mouth
is silent as our spirit unburdens to God. Philippians
4:7 - The peace of God, which
passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ
Jesus.
Amazingly, many people don’t
start with silence as the word encourages to be still and he will show up as
our God. However, prayer is measured not by words, but by the sincerity
of the heart and the guidance of the Spirit. John 4:24 - God is
a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
We should develop this attitude by letting your spirit to intercede and not
your feelings. Hence, we live a life of meditation on God’s words that makes us
to intercede with groaning which cannot be uttered. Remember, when life is
confusing, it is the Spirit that carries our heart’s cry to God almighty that
brings about answers without numbers. I pray God will help us to pour our hearts
to God today in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, help me to spend few minutes daily by letting my
heart whisper to God with the trust that the Spirit is interceding for me
beyond words in Jesus name.

prayer is not measured by words but by the surrender of the heart.
