Text: Psalm 42:1(KJV)
As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
Acts 1:8 - But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit
comes upon you, and you shall be witnesses…”
Friends, fire can grow dim. A
flame on an altar is more than fire as it is a symbol of devotion, passion, and
continuous connection with God. Your personal altar must be on fire, whether it
is a quiet corner of your home, a prayer room, or your heart itself, is where
God meets you, strengthens you, and empowers your mission in the world as to
fulfill purpose. Acts 2:3 - And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed
and resting on each one of them. Romans 12:11- Do not be
slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. I believe
God to rekindle the passion upon this generation for a life of prayer as our
hearts burn brighter. We can meditate on God’s word to ignite fresh fire as our
soul pant for the Lord.
Surprisingly, distractions,
fatigue, and the pressures of daily life can make prayer feel like a routine
that has not fire. But, we should never allow the fire to quench as we invite
His presence. 1 Corinthians 15:58 - Therefore, my
beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the
Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Hence,
that is why God is calling you today to fan the flame of your altar
by being intentional to reignite your devotion, to rise above busy activities
and burnout, but we should burn with fervent passion for God. Therefore,
fanning the flame is not just about longer prayers rather it is about purposeful,
persistent, and Spirit-led devotion by His word. It is in these moments we charge our lives, environment and
nations for the master’s use with great impact of His fire. I encourage us to
make our secret corner where heaven’s fire meets earth needs for answers in
Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, keep the flame on my altar ablaze as to burn off
every chaff that has affected my output in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, we need
zeal and consistent devotion to keep up the fire.
