Spiritual Sensitivity

 

Text: John 10:27(KJV)

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

Friends, it is important we grow in our ability of hearing clearly the voice of His instruction. So, spiritual sensitivity is the ability to recognize and respond to God’s voice. Therefore, without sensitivity, God’s guidance can pass unnoticed. Hence, our alertness can be likened to a finely tuned instrument, so, your spirit can be trained to detect God’s whisper, warnings, and directions. Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts.  Unfortunately, many are expecting loud or dramatic signs rather than subtle guidance by His leading. Remember, God often speaks quietly and some cases loudly, so we need to be sensitivity to pick signals littered around us. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God… because they are spiritually discerned.

Interestingly, we need to grow to become alert to God’s presence because His presence speaks His intension for the moment. We should always recognize the promptings of the Holy Spirit as a key to follow and understand His guidance by aligning in total obedience.  Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it… I encourage us to be sensitive to God’s warnings as we spend quality time with Him, in prayers, in the word and fellowship with God the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost today, in Jesus name.

Father, deliver us from a heart weighed down and distracted with sin and unforgiveness in Jesus name.
