Text: 2 Timothy 1:6(KJV)
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee…
Friends, there are seasons in a man’s life when the fire of prayer, passion, and spiritual fervency becomes low. Yes, not because God has changed, but by reason of life concerns, burdens, distractions, and spiritual complacency gradually it dims our flame of fire. Psalm 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee? So, the strength on our knees begins to go down if we are not refueling our altar. But, GOD is set to revive us today. Therefore, it is important we re-fire back by reviving our secret place where we control life by involving God. This requires us restoring the passion you once had for prayer, worship, holiness, and intimacy with God. God is always ready to ignite us again, He only waits for us to bring the wood. Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Interestingly, we need to stir up the gift of God. This means spiritual fire does not keep itself; it must be intentionally rekindled. Fire dies when it is not fed. Jeremiah 20:9 ….. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. Hence, our fire of prayer burns brighter and hotter when we feed it with time in God’s presence, hunger for His Word, and consistent fellowship. And as we fellowship in service today our fire shall be stirred up for the journey ahead, in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, take away every form of distraction and hidden sin that has brought about prayerlessness and lack of fellowship with brethren and the Holy Spirit today in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, you can restore your prayer fire by attending retreat to reconnect.
