Text: Leviticus
6:12-13 (KJV)
The fire on the
altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to
add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire… The fire must be kept
burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.
Friends, we must learn to begin our adventure
with a burning fire of God and not a dim zeal. Hence, when God begins a
new work in our lives, He often does it by setting our hearts ablaze and
rekindling our fire. So, fire represents passion, purity, power, and
presence. We can see, when God called Moses, it began with fire in the
burning bush. When Elijah called down heaven’s power, fire answered. When the
Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, He came as tongues of fire upon
the believers. Malachi 3:3 - He will sit as a refiner
and purifier of silver. So, let’s begin with His fire for a
glorious accomplishment on every side. We should not start with emotion rather
steady fire that burn in the altar and it must not go out as to ignite divine
direction and purity in life. Acts 2:2-4 And suddenly
there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all
the house where they were sitting. And
there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each
of them. And they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.
Amazingly, to begin with fire means to
start your walk, your vision, your career, your ministry, or your new season
with a burning zeal for God. 2 Timothy 1:6 For
this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you
through the laying on of my hands. It is this fire that consumes us
for a deep focus for His will without distractions. Therefore, we don’t need
mere excitement that fades away in our walk with God, but we need divine energy
that sustains the journey no matter the challenges of the season. I encourage
us to fan our fire again for a fulfilled life with the help of the Holy Ghost in
Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Oh Lord help us to start this season right, as we begin it
with the fire of prayer,
the fire of love, the fire of obedience,
and the fire of the Holy Spirit in
Jesus name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Remember, a heart on fire for God lights
up every dark place and draws others toward Him.
