The Wise Hearted

Text: Proverb 16:21(KJV)

The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.

Friends, we are in a world filled with knowledge, but we need to be cautious and sensitive in dealing with practical matters by conscious effort to yield in the wisdom from God. So, the wise hearted refers to people whose wisdom comes not only from their mind, but from a heart aligned with God. This makes it possible to hear God, to obey Him and apply the truth of God’s word into our daily lives, practically. 1 Kings 3:9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge the people, that I may discern between good and bad … It goes beyond knowing what is right but gets into doing nothing but right thing that pleases God. So, it takes a heart full of God to be foolish with the world pattern. Hence, when you are spirit – led, it brings about excellence with a humble heart which shows even in our skillful adventures. Therefore, we must learn to value God’s approval at all times. Like Bezalel & Aholiab whom God filled with wisdom in their heart to skillfully build the tabernacle as they used their craftsmanship as worship. Exodus 35:35a Then hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of works, of the engravers, and of the cunning workman in purple and scarlet, …

Interestingly, when we are wise hearted, it brings about total obedience to God’s instruction.  It is the wise hearted that can solve real world problems, today. Proverbs 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.  Howbeit, we need a heart that is wholehearted to God to prevail in challenging times. In which case, you take decision based on God’s word. So, the wise hearted bears the fruits of the spirit without pressure as we express love, kindness, patience, joy, peace, meekness, faith etc that keeps us in the integrity of Christ as our heart has been knitted with Him in Jesus name.

 PRAYER POINT: 

Oh Lord, create a courageous and obedient spirit in us that will make us to be wise hearted as to build what will bring glory to God in Jesus name.
