Corinthians 1:20(KJV)
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in
him Amen, unto the glory of God by us
Friends,
we must learn to live restful and not anxious because we can count and rest on
His promises. So, to rest in God’s promises is not passive. It is
confidence in motion that makes us to keep trusting that what He has spoken, He
will perform. When fear rises, I pray His Word become our pillow to anchor and
rest our hearts for a peaceful living. Hence, God’s promises are not shaken by
our circumstances. They are alive, active, and backed by the integrity of our
God who can never lie. In the case of Joseph, he held to God’s
promise through betrayal and prison. God honored His promise to the palace and
many more. Also, Job was full assured
and rested in God’s character while suffering. Hebrew
10:23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God
can be trusted to keep his promise. We can see the case of Daniel who rested in
God’s promise of deliverance even in the lions’ den. Therefore, in your case
today let’s rest in God’s promise of supernatural provision no matter the drought
season. And we shall trust God who promised that nothing is too hard for Him.
This is possible as we create intimacy with the living God. James
4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw
near to you.
Interestingly, to rest on the promise of God
without wavering, we must remove our eyes from the problems, resist fear as we
replace it with faith. Remember, God’s promises keep you grounded when
life shakes. Exodus
14:14 The Lord will fight for you; you
need only to be still. We should
not rest on our self-effort if we are depending on the promise of God. So, we should drew strength as we daily declare God’s word to
that situation. I pray we shall enjoy true rest in God as it touches our
Spirit, Soul and Body in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, help us to lean fully on Your promises
and Your Word will be our strength, peace, and confidence every day in Jesus
name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Remember, the truth of God’s word makes us to remain stronger daily.
