Let your eye be single

 

Text: Mathew 6:22-23(KJV)                                             

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Friends, we need to live with undivided gaze as to enjoy inner direction to purpose that brings about a life full of light. So, a single eye is an eye that clearly fixed on the vision of God. Yes, the eye has a systemic influence to your future, therefore it is important we keep our focus by a deep commitment to the plan of God. Psalm 86:11 Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. Hence, our perspective to life issues must be sharp and single for better clarity. We should not allow anything to diffuse and dilute our focus because it will affect our choice which has led to burnout by individuals. James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. So, let’s keep our eyes healthy with undivided hearts in all our ways.

Interestingly, we must learn to examine our hearts and connect ourselves with God as to keep our heart burning with spiritual focus. Therefore, we must be careful not to follow the crowd to dim our light if we must live with undiluted vision in a world of distractions. Math 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. A single mind therefore require inner drive for positivity towards God. Let’s be the different marker in this perverse generation with our focus in God. Remember, we have the light of all light which is able to illuminate our vision as to keep our minds fixed on God today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Heavenly Father, build upon us undivided devotion to God that will keep us focused to our divine purpose in destiny in Jesus name.
