Text: Philippians 3:14 (KJV)

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Friends, we have a responsibility to reach our goals in destiny in all ramifications of our lives. Yes, we are all in a race on a daily bases striving to achieve greatness which attracts a prize at last, if we don’t press on, we end is littleness. But, we cannot forget that so many people are in the same race with you, so it is either they inspire you or they distract you. So choose your race or your battle today.  Therefore, we should not get to a point where you think you have arrived and relax in your pursuit because life is competitive and contributory, all to your advantage if wisely maximized.  2Timothy 4:7- I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. May this be our end result today.

Interestingly, there is always excellence ahead at each point of your endeavor, if only we focus on the goal as to get deeper in destiny and find satisfaction. Hence, the more you know him, the more you encounter the prize of His high calling. And every runner’s satisfaction is to be able to get to the end of the race with a tangible award and not just in view. However, we have to learn to forget the achievement of now as to see beyond the barriers which is a huge limitation to many. Remember, Christ’s calling is the ultimate height despite the challenges; we must treasure it with great value and preserve it as it is a privilege. If you hold on to what you already have, you may not grow beyond your current state.  I encourage us to fix our eyes on Jesus because God’s calling is not to despise us but to elevate us into a new glory in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father help us not linger on the past awards rather may we strive to the ultimate prize ahead which will yield life eternal in Jesus name.
