Draw near to Him

 

Text: Psalm 22:19 (KJV)

But be not thou far from me, O Lord; O my strength, haste thee to help me.

Friends, many lives are failing today because we have separated ourselves from the root wherein we receive strength for the journey ahead. But, David in the scripture above desired that God should not be far from Him. He knows the effect of that nearness and the outcome of the gap if not bridged immediately. Hence, drawing near to God must come from a genuine heart that pant for a deep intimacy with the master. It is a simple approach but God cherish our fellowship with Him at all times as it grants us access to His covenant inheritance. James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Amazingly, when we feel that God is far, He is still very close to us because He assured us that He will never live us nor forsake. His presence is constant, so one step towards God is one step out of negativity. So, let’s yield to His will by drawing deeper today.  Phil.4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Therefore, to draw near to Him, we must be intentional and be sensitive by setting spiritual strategies that will keep His presence around us daily. I pray we shall set our prayers and word study a priority today as it is a platform to dwell to under His canopy in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, I pray, in the midst of busy schedule in life may I not drift away from Your presence by avoiding distractions in Jesus name.
