Text: Psalm 26:1-2 (KJV)
Judge
me, O Lord; for I have walked
in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide. Examine
me, O Lord, and prove me; try
my reins and my heart.
Friends, integrity
is honest living which is the core of our Christian life. So, it is a
consistent walk with the fear of God that keeps us upright even when no one is
watching you but your conscience is active. Yes, it is a walk of integrity that
separates us from the negative norms that are littered in our society today. We have a duty to wash our hands off from
mischief as we hate evil association that makes us to sit with the wicked. Proverb 10:9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he
that perverteth his ways shall be known. Today,
many are sitting with vain persons that influence their decisions into evil.
Therefore, let’ examine ourselves, prove us from inside out because God looks
not on our countenance but our inward disposition. So, it a choice to declare
as - for me I will walk in mine integrity by God’s mercy today.
Amazingly, we
have a decision to walk with the truth as the word of God is the manual for the
truth. Job 1:1 There
was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and
upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. So, you
must remain steadfast with the truth and not with pretense. Just like men of
old, Job, Joseph, David etc, said I have trusted in the Lord, hence our
attitude must start by building confidence in the almighty for on our own we
can do nothing. Hence, it is possible to speak and walk in honesty daily by the
help of the Lord in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father,
strengthen us as to examine our hearts, actions, and thought as to please the
Lord in all our endeavors in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, there is a
reward for the upright.
