Give yourself to Prayer

Text: Psalm 109:4-5 (KJV)

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.  And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

Friends, we need to get to a point of ceaseless prayers which requires a life of continuous communication with God. Therefore, there is no need of time or special season that we should talk with God rather we should always give ourselves to prayer by surrendering all in worship and not just in request. Yes, we should do this as an attitude that has no end.  It will shock you to know, that there is a possible season that one may not have a convenient opportunity to pray. But, the bible still encourages us to pray.  1 Thes.5:17 Pray without ceasing. Beloved, prayer is an endless adventure that we offer ourselves by stretching a little.  So, it is important we make it habitual, and not waiting for pressure that we see many run to God. Therefore, giving ourselves to prayer as a lifestyle in business, in family, as an organization and as a nation is welcome habit that we should learn. Therefore, let’s be intentional on this cause at any place and at any moment. Yes, it can happen in the secret and also in the open, because God can use it to fight and end wars against our destinies. Jeremiah 29:12. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

Interestingly, prayer requires submission and commitment that we must build and develop ourselves into as it will become a lifestyle. We are in a world people fight for absolutely no reason but in such situation your stored prayers will begin to answer for you because at that point you might not have the right prayer points.  Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.  Yes, even when people reward good for evil, prayer defends us. Hence, we must learn to develop a connection and a relationship that keeps us going even in this season of hard times in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father, help me never to hold my peace in the place of prayer because it is therein that we experience answers and praises to our expectations in Jesus name.
