The Word Sight

 

Text: Proverb 4: 20-21 (KJV)

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

Friends, there is need for active seeing and listening for better understanding. So, our eyes is for seeing but the level we can see is measured by our location which can be determined by our revelation. Hence, the word of God is for our illumination that grants us access with far and foresight. Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. But, there is a seeing that goes beyond our environment that is what we call the WORD SIGHT which involves seeing with the eyes of the scriptures which supersedes our intellectual views. Yes, it goes beyond our understanding rather it takes us to the realm of the supernatural where we view things with the word of God because our future is hid in Gods word.  Therefore, we must learn to operate with the supreme God where our future is fired by the plan of the master based on His covenant which is embedded in the scripture. Remember, we live by faith and not by the physical sight. 2 Cori 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. A lot of things are revealed to us through the spirit because His spirit is behind the scriptures. So, we must actively and not passively consider the word which is for our sight.

Interestingly, it is His word that can use to see and search all things. We must therefore go beyond the later and the grammatical meanings as there are secrets in Him. We must cultivate the attitude with the spiritual sight as to see and understand spiritual things and its principles. Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. It is a gift from God that is developed through our submission to God’s word by obedience. So, we have to be blinded in our minds of knowledge rather we should see things with the eyes of the scripture that gives us clarity to the truth. Hence, we have to ask God for His wisdom in the place of prayer through the signpost of the word. I encourage us to become sensitive today as to work by His word sight in Jesus name.
