The true light

 

Text: John: 8-9 (KJV)

8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Friends, the origin of any perfect and accurate thing is traceable to Jesus and this is known to be true about God. And He is the source of all light as it shines through all things. There is a difference we must discover about this true light in that there are other sources that are false and dim. Yes, there are different intensities of light like the matchstick light and blazing fire level of light. Even though we can switch off any other source of light but the light that comes from Jesus is perfect and true without end. Hence, John was bearing witness of the light that all men through him shall believe as to safe. And it is this light that shines in darkness and darkness cannot resist it at all. Yes, it is the lamp that lightens up our feet to the path of destiny 1 John 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

Amazingly, when we are in an unfamiliar environment and when light goes out, every shadow looks like a dangerous monster. However, we must remember, any other source of light outside Jesus is a false light which has several limitations that brings about the challenges that we encounter daily. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Therefore, let us recognize that it is in him that we can find real life as He lights the world and expels darkness. So, it takes a revelation for us to understand the clarity of the light and not the shadowy of its expression. Hence, if we have any light in us, the source comes truly from Jesus. So, as Jesus light is shining in us may we shine to our world today.  I point every one of us today to this to this source of light that expels any form of darkness and shall never go off in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Oh Lord, help us not to prefer darkness over light as many have rejected light by reason of the world standard in Jesus name.
