Be watchful

 

Text: Revelation 3:2 (KJV)

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

Friends, we are in world filled with unseen battles that gets us distracted to our original purpose in life. It is time we reaffirm what remains. And this has become a major issue that has diverted several destinies without commitment. Hence, there is need for a wake-up call for alertness that makes us to be watchful and focus on crucial matters despite the chaos situations that we see in the society today. 1 Peter 5:8:"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." Therefore, we are encouraged to keep our eyes on the things which remain as we strengthen them for a work of perfection before God. Yes, our works are unfinished, so wake up today.

Interestingly, we must be spiritually awake as we discern the scheme of the enemy by standing firm in our faith in the word of God. Mathew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Therefore, it is a moment that we need to be vigilant so that we shall not fall victims on the tricks of the wicked. Therefore, it requires us guiding our hearts, our minds and also our actions that can be flooded with issues that will bring about distractions today. I pray we shall focus on pure and honest things in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, help us to recognize the wiles of the enemy as we stay ever ready without dimming our lamps in Jesus name.
