Text: John 15:12-13 (KJV)
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love
has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Friends, we can see that love is not in the tears but
love is unconditional. So, let us reflect on His love today that lead Him to
this excess love in all. Remember, our first love experience is not that first
encounter to believe God rather He loved before while we were in sin. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while
we were still sinners, Christ died for us" Infact, His heart of love made Him to give
up His life for our sin as He choose to sacrifice for humanity. Jesus pledged
to die as a ransom for all. So, there is no sin He cannot forgive only if we
repent and accept Jesus. His love is eternal by grace even when we don’t deserve
it. He stepped in to remedy us from sin by His mercy. Hence, His love made us
die with Him, rise with Him, suffer with Him and so shall we enjoy in glory
both here on earth and the life to come in Jesus name. 1
John 4:8 Whoever
does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Interestingly, His love is endless. What a love that
we enjoy even before we were formed in our mother womb. Yes, Christ knew us and
died for us. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have
everlasting life. The good news is that His love guaranteed us eternity
as we were bought by His precious blood and sealed by the Holy Spirit. And we
can see His persistant call for our salvation experience just because of His excess
love. He does not give up on man no matter our delay to his call and encounters.
And He is still beckoning on us again for deep intimacy in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, help us to embrace this
most important attribute of life which is the love of Jesus in all we do in
Jesus name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Remember, we shall enjoy His inheritance at last as
the promise of this love.
