The sure word of truth

 

Text: 2 Peter 1:19 (KJV)

¹⁹ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well 

that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the 

day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: ²⁰ Knowing this first,

 that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

 

Friends, it is very unfortunate to know of late that many no longer rely on absolute truth, in that we have a sure word of prophesy and not half-truth, no-truth, false-truth, temporary-truth etc. And this has become predominant in our time which has brought major influence in the society of ours. But we cannot fight the truth. Yes, no matter how you cover the reality of a matter, it will certainly spring out in a dimension you cannot fathom.  Hence, if we look at the statistics there has been an increase in the percentage of people that believes that there is no absolute truth. But, we must remember that God stands behind His word as they are divinely orchestrated that we must embrace generationally. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. The truth remains that God’s word was inspired as God moved men to write and record the prophecies from the living God as they are not from human origin. Friends, the scriptures cannot be broken.

 

Amazingly, the lack of believe on absolute truths can be as a result of the influence of so much increase in knowledge and exposure in our education and media systems. But, I pray that the word will deeply penetrate the minds of people that will make them accept the totality of the doctrine and absolute authority of God’s word. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Howbeit, there are infallible proof that the bible is the absolute truth and nothing but the truth. Although, many don’t, believe in it but the reliability of the teaching of Jesus that is encapsulated in the manual for our living cannot be altered no matter the generation. So, I encourage us, whether this generation accept or reject the truth, it is an unbeatable reality. And God will open our minds to this truth in Jesus name.

 

PRAYER POINT:

Oh Lord, heal the world of the world systems as you move us into kingdom system that leave us in the nature of God in Jesus name.
