Abide in His Spirit

 

Text: John 14:26 (KJV)

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you

  

Friends, our ultimate encounter lives us with a more intimate relationship that is why Jesus promised to send the comforter as he was ascending to heaven. The Holy Spirit dwells in us as to fulfil the ministry of Jesus as he reproduces the character and likeness of Christ in man. Therefore, our duty is to allow God take us, cleanse us and use it daily. John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: Remember, He longs to do and teach us all that Jesus began to do when was here on earth. Therefore, take the responsibility as to make yourself available now.

Unfortunately, we grieve him by keeping the temple of our body unkempt, unclean, even defiled that makes it unconducive for his dwelling. John 10:10^b I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. So, be careful not to quench His presence by our attitudes today. Keep your heart tender toward Him and He will abide in you and you in Him. Hence, we must learn to die daily to self- love and make him our first-love as we connect to abide in Him today in Jesus name.

Oh, Lord may the vital ministry of the Holy Spirit continue to quicken us and make us to live like Him in Jesus name.
