Walk as He walked

 

Text: 1 John 2:6 (KJV)

 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Friends, if we truly abide in Christ, we are also expected to walk as Jesus walked in all aspects of our lives. So, remember walking with Jesus does not end in proclaiming the name of Jesus rather it involves we love as He loved. We render care to people around us as Jesus did including the sufferings to denials on the cross. We have to even care about people more than we consider our personal needs. It is indeed a lifestyle of generousity with our all. Hence, we must be kind hearted with our time as it is a gift to others too. Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. We must learn to be generous with our gifts and talents as to become a blessing to humanity, for we realize that all we have were freely given to us. Therefore, we can start with prayer burden, sharing our faith and testimony with others today.

Interestingly, our actions must agree with our words which was a typical character of Jesus who is our role model. We should not claim that we abide in Him while our life does demonstrate what we confess. Philippians2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. It is not being selfish and self-centered because our life is about serving God and also serving others in which humility was found in Jesus. In fact, it demands, self-denial and self-sacrifice. This can even make your life and agenda to be disrupted and out of your control just to please the creator but for our eternal gain. Hence, all Jesus effort was to be a help to someone each day of His life. And, this is how Jesus walked and we must live and interact with others today in like manner in Jesus name.

Father, help us never to put out the cry of others around us but to live a life of compassion daily in Jesus name.
